A Question of Impeachment or Coup

In acknowledging that the Bush regime "must be replaced",
a fellow Kossack reasonably noted that

...arguments against impeachment have to be given some thought.

It has sparked a visceral reaction. I simply ask: AT THIS POINT  , WHY??

WARNING: SCREED BELOW THE FOLD.

There is always the matter of not "having" the votes - but any trial where the votes are assured is no trial at all. It is a kangaroo court.WE MUST MAKE THE CASE.

We are now in
an EXTREMELY FLAMMMABLE SITUATION, a FLUID RATHER THAN SOLID STATE.
We do not have - nor do we need - the luxury of static analysis of vote counts.

Let's Cut to The Chase:

If we can't define the problem in its essence at this point, how can we  (or anyone else)  solve it?? I blockquote to define the essential problem:

The essential problem is Cheney and Bush. Period.

We can't wait for the recalcitrant to figure it out.

It is time to PUSH ALL THE PROTEST AND POLITICAL MUSCLE WE CAN MUSTER INTO WASHINGTON. LOOK UP AND HOOK UP WITH YOUR OWN LINKS, BUT STAND UP, HOOK UP AND SHUFFLE TO THE DOOR,  GET TO DC AND RAISE HOLY HELL OVER THE DAYS WEEKS AND MONTHS IF YOU POSSIBLY CAN.

MAXIMUM, WE HAVE A FEW MILLION VIEWS ON THE BLOGS A DAY- MOSTLY OF LIKE MINDED INDIVIDUALS.ANY SIGNIFICANT NUMBER OF PEOPLE THAT CAN SHOW IN DC, AND WE'LL INFLUENCE A HUNDRED MILLION AT HOME AND BILLIONS ABROAD..

We sometimes talk about this in such a way that suggests grounds for Impeachment might be a "political stretch", over - reaching,  or that we might be hasty in our judgement.

ENOUGH.

ACCOUNTABILITY AND RESOLUTION.

That's what the electorate voted for.
Do we really need a safe to fall on our heads to fathom reality, to get a "feel" for the overwhelming rejection of BUSH, CHENEY AND THE NEOCON INSANITY?

MISS THIS MOMENT -- and we ASSUREDLY pass on a crippling legacy to our children as surely as the events that have shaped our times since 1968.

Which brings us to the real question.

Do we think this can be resolved with Cheney in Place??
With an alcoholic Bush returning to the metaphorical bottle???

WE NEED EMERGENCY ACTION NOW.
WE NEED A MILLION ACTIVISTS IN DC.
WE NEED TO DEPOSE THESE LUNATICS.

HOW? Resolve to protest in DC. Work to get a million protesters converging on the White House demanding Cheney's immediate resignation and you will confront a political crisis that draws undeniable Global Attention towards it resolution. It would give political cover to fencesitters in Congress and in Living Rooms across the country and command the choosing of sides. It has happened before. Our President may fail us but our Countrymen will not. That is what led to such sacrifice in the first place. This is the "Surge" that is needed in our times. A confidence in the ultimate power of genuine Democracy. Resolve to bolster the Anti War Actions of your Choosing IN DC.

BUSH COMMITTED AN ACT OF WAR ON IRAN TODAY.

We're so god damned gun shy because of an abusive  deceptive leadership that led the country astray - and got away with it. Or worse, while resisting, we may have secretly envied  the success of the GOP over the last twenty years. Enough of our Abused Child Syndrome.It's over. Time to get out of the Glue Factory.

That said, There IS a certain confidence if not arrogance in leadership, one born of conviction. We keep pissing around with our slide rules much longer on Impeachment, we will have failed our countrymen, our party and ourselves. We might rightly conclude we were lucky to get to go to "the Ball" back in 2006.

Whether evil or ill, I have concluded we have an Impaired Executive and that madmen are running the White House.

Impeachment?? That was a week ago. I'm approaching coup territory now.
